Each session comes with a new songbook, new music, and weekly classes (with unlimited makeups, on a space available basis).

Schedule a Makeup
Rhythm Kids®: ages 4-6

Each week we drum, sing, dance, play rhythm instruments, and begin to play music-based games. Rhythm Kids® guides children toward developmentally appropriate music and movement activities, where they can begin to take charge, lead others, and be musically creative, as they:

  • make up their own drumming patterns

  • invent new ways to play rhythm instruments (shakers, sticks, etc.)

  • create movement ideas for songs

Rhythm Kids® carries on the Music Together® vision to help children complete the pathway of early childhood music development from birth through age eight. Tuition includes:

  • Weekly classes

  • Songbook and CD each session

  • Access to online drum-play videos and other material

Children will:

  • Explore the world of rhythm through movement, instrument play, and song

  • Develop basic rhythm skills, like keeping beat, improvising, ensemble play, and soloing

  • Learn to create, cooperate, and express themselves musically

 Pop-Up Class

Join us in local parks for a musical playdate! Bring a friend, sing, dance, and then PLAY.

Locations vary and may change. If we change locations after the start of the semester you will be notified. We will do our best to meet in a similar area. If class is canceled you may reschedule/attend a makeup class.

These classes are outside. Music Together of Boulder is not responsible for any liability in the case of insect exposure or anything else that is reasonable to expect in a local park. Bring a hat, water, sunscreen, and a picnic for after class!

 

 Babies

Your baby is musical, and this is a class for YOU! All children benefit from from early exposure to music and movement. Learn how to support your baby's development, meet other new parents, and expand your own musical repertoire.

The music activities and materials are specially designed for parents who want to learn as much as possible about music development in babies. Each family will receive a songbook, optional CD, and download code to access their music digitally. 

 Family Class: ages 0-5

This is the essential Music Together® class, one that a child can attend from birth through age five—and through all nine song collections. The family class follows the recommendations of child development researchers, grouping children of a variety of ages in one class. This approach fosters natural, family-style learning where younger children enjoy watching and imitating older ones; older children learn by leading younger ones; and adults are happy because the children in the family can go to class together.

Each child participates at their own developmental level in singing, moving, chanting, listening, observing, or exploring musical instruments. We welcome the whole family to join in this important family music experience, and any caregiver—parents, grandparents, nanny—can bring the child(ren) to class.  

Each semester includes:

  • Weekly 45-minute classes teaching a new song collection every fall, winter and spring, and summer. 
  • New songs each semester featuring a variety of music that grownups will enjoy, too.
  • A download code to access all your music digitally.
  • Beautifully illustrated songbook with family activities to enjoy at home.
  • Parent education resources and online resources.
  • In the event that we are unable to meet in person, class will be rescheduled.
